Have you ever had an upcoming birthday or holiday and struggled so long about what to get for someone that you ended up buying a gift card and just calling it a day? This happens to me all the time so I started making lists about what to get for people depending on their personality type. It may sound a little extreme but it helps me when I am in a pinch and need something quick. Generally, I think about what their hobbies are or the things that they enjoy. I try to focus on things that I know make them happy. If I really do not know much about someone at all than I will try to figure out what they do for work and get them a useful item for their career. It is so great to give useful items that have purpose, but sometimes it is nice to give a gift that is all about fun times. The best types of people to give this kind of gift to is someone who is truly a kid at heart. Who will have more fun with a gift like this than someone who truly knows how to enjoy a lighthearted laugh. If you have anyone like this in your life and would like some ideas for gifts to give, then keep reading.
The Vacation of a Lifetime
It depends how important this person is in your life, and how close you are, but if you feel like being generous, and your friend deserves it, then I would suggest a vacation package to somewhere like Disney World. While you are in Orlando, don’t forget to check out Best of Orlando for more great ideas on what to do in the area. Disney World could be the trip of a lifetime for the most important big kid in your life. It is definitely a big gift and will be highly appreciated either way.
A Toy of Some Kind
Now when I say toy, I do not mean a baby doll or some building blocks, but some kind of collectable maybe, or even a big kid toy like a fidget spinner. There are all kinds of things on the market today for adults who like toys. Other suggestions could be a remote-controlled car, an action figure from their favorite movie, or a particularly complex Lego kit. I remember my mom used to get my little brother a Lego kit every year even into his late teens, and by the time he hit eighteen, I had seen some pretty incredible stuff being built up.
This is another gift that might be a bit of a purchase, but it would still be a lot less expensive than a vacation to Disney World. A bicycle is a gift that is both useful and fun so it can make you feel like you did not waste your money being silly. Depending on the size of the person, there are plenty of bikes for sale out there, both used and new. You can look online on places like craigslist if you are on a budget and would prefer to not buy one new in a store.
